Host/Alternative Mornings (2004-Present)
Music Director (2011-Present)

Before Greg moved to Portland he spent nearly a decade in New York City where he worked in Tour Publicity and A&R for London/ Sire Records. He signed the goldselling band Harvey Danger.
Greg loves animals, especially cats. His Portland home is a cat sanctuary, where three felines (Kudzu, Lyla & Dixie) and one incorrigible pup (Biscuit) reside with him and his girlfriend (Alana). Greg is also an avid record collector. The top floor of his home has been converted into a ‘music library’ and contains several thousand LPs! When Greg isn’t combing record stores he’s most likely enjoying some Mexican food and relaxing with an ice-cold beer. He also exercises 5-6 days a week to counteract the Mexican food and beer!

I'm originally from the heart of Silicon Valley in California, and admittedly my radio career got off to a shaky start in 4th grade. Bringing a cassette recorder to school and "interviewing" fellow students during lunch hour seemed a good idea at the time, but after having my lunch money taken from me and a few parent/teacher conferences on my behalf, I decided to put my career on hold. Once I attended Lewis and Clark College here in Portland, I was able to pursue my radio dreams once again by getting involved with the college station there. Between studies for two majors (International Affairs and German), I spent time spinning both Alternative and mix sets. During my year of study in Munich, Germany, I held residence at a club, and that paved the way for DJing for events once back here in Portland in the early '90s. I was lucky enough to join 94/7 in the Spring of 1995, and aside from an 8 month hiatus in late 2003 to mid 2004 to consult with German scientists on an upcoming technology summit, have called this station home ever since! While I have a tremendous amount of love and nostalgia for my favorite bands such as Depeche Mode, New Order, Clan of Xymox, The Cure, The Smiths, Front 242, Skinny Puppy, etc... I'm also digging the new stuff we spin, as every day brings something new.

Since 1993, I have been known to create my own electronic music, although by no means am I a professional musician! I have done some of my own remix and production work in a home studio. Gear includes: Mac G5 (dual processor 1.8 Mhz), E=Mu USB controller, Vestax 2 channel mixer, Mackie VLZ 1202 multi-channel mixer, Denon PMA Amplifier, K-Rok monitors, and 2 Technics 1200 turntables. Software-wise, I'm a big fan of Reason, but have used everything from Cubase to Digital Performer to Pro Tools. I'm also a huge proponent of Rane Serrato Scratch, which is a great DJ tool for making mixes. On my free time, I spend time playing with our son, hitting the gym, enjoying a few "guilty pleasure" TV shows, and contributing to my pathetic TechnoSexual existence by purchasing new things that I don't really need and that will be obsolete as soon as I walk out of the store with them...

I'm a Pacific Northwest guy: Seattle, born and raised. I got into music at the ripe age of 7 when I went on tour through Canada with my dad and his band. I've always liked listening to music more than playing it, which is what led me to radio. I've been honing my craft up and down the west coast starting in Seattle, then to San Francisco, and now Portland. I've always had an affinity toward Portland, and I'm happy to call it home again (I lived here for a bit once upon a time), and even more stoked to be a part of the 94/7 team!

I'm a surfer, center midfielder (let me know if you have space on your soccer team!), tech nerd, whiskey lover, scooter enthusiast (reppin' Soldiers Of Destiny SC), horror film fan, food source to my feline friends Brisco County Jr. Jr., Lord Bowler (bonus points if you get the reference), and my lovable Pom/Schipperke mix Miss Betty White, and I'm a huge fan of my special lady friend.

My name is Brian, you know might know me better as Producer Brian from Alternative Mornings and The Bottom Forty, I’m a self-proclaimed fan of Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers, Refreshments, Chicago Blackhawks, Oingo Boingo, Cat sitting, Blues Brothers quoting, Baseball loving, Guinness drinking, Hockey sweater collecting, Northern Exposure watching, guitar playing, music loving geek. Pretty much in that order too.

I got into this crazy world of radio almost 20 years ago, started right out of high school, thought it would be a fun thing to do while I figured out what I wanted to do in college and my life…still trying to figure that out!
